UTC + BLACK AND WHITE STRIPED SKIRT

Hey Ladies and fashion forward gents, been MIA cos of Work matters...but I have to squeeze out time every once in a while to write about the things I love.

Yes the Old age long question,"what do UTC and white striped skirts have in common???lmao...Well stick around with your reading glasses or eyes to find out.

I found this great  UTC eatery Located at Sanusi Fafunwa as a great place to have that much needed LUNCH BREAK, especially if you work on the Island...Its not far from anywhere coming from Adeola Odeku, Idowu Taylor, Ajose Adeogun, wherever, Its that one place you would love to have lunch...WHY???

1)Free Wifi for paying Customers- Woohoo, why did I put this as Number One??..lol sounds Oxymoron-ish right??(Free and Paying)...very Important if you have that important email you have to attend to Lunch break or not...as long as you buy something...

2).WATCH THE MEAL-erm what do I mean, apart from variety of breakfast meals to brunch and lunch, snacks and dessert, you choose what you want and the chef prepares this for you on the go, you get to watch him and all the simmering and ingredients conjured together to prepare viola!! YOUR DISH!!. They are not hiding at the back to bring your dish, Its like going to a Japanese restaurant and watching them prepare Stirfry aor Sushi dishes.

3).CHEAP-Yes with the variety of dishes from Chicken and Shrimps Stirfry to chips to Curry Chicken sauce, Its almost like a Chinese restaurant...Note the "ALMOST" ranging from 1000-1700 Naira, they also have breakfast like Toast, Omelette,Sausages and Bacon.. and yes they have SHARWARMA!!.

4).SERENE ENVIRONMENT:- They have small meeting rooms where you can decide to have some calmness and serenity to eat and attend to those emails on the go...

Not boring you any longer...Lets have the PISHURES!!!

Yes, so what does the black striped skirt have to do with this???Well I wore this great Black striped skirt, mini since it was a friday to work and the lunch at UTC. One thing about stripes like polka dots is that they are ageless...I love them, pin stripes, nautical stripes you name em..

Most people will pair ablack and white with either a black top or a white...Hell NO...A bit of colour will do, so I opted for a coral loose fitted top and a Wedge to make it all different..One rule, whenever you do Colour blocking, make sure you have a shoe that fits one part of the clothing or a bag or accessories, so you dont look like a clown...there is a thin line..DONT CROSS IT...

CASUAL THURSDAY-SWEATER AND CROPPED PANTS

Again.... No place to go cos of work week and a lot of deadlines....sad, so I decided to post my look to the office today, yes lets talk about the second best thing FASHION. It was raining really nicely, not too heavy and not too light.....Awesome Thursday..

So I decided to go with the V neck sweater cos am cold-prone, combined with cropped pants...Really lovely combo. Like I said before, am not much of a jewelry person, I just have a few pieces...I complemented this with a very nice metallic choker I bought from the  H and M store in Dubai July...

Before you see my look, just have a feel of the Sweater and cropped pants trend....

Solange Knowles so chic in this trend

Katie Holmes rocking the trend
Taylor Swift so effortlessly cute in this ensemble

Like I said I gave mine a more edgy look by complementing with the METALLIC CHOKER...The metal choker is making a come-back even on the runways of some of the biggest names like Micheal Kors and Ellie saab...

Loved the choker...just have a feel of the choker spotted on some celebrities...
Gorgeous on Jessica Alba

Lovely on Halle Berry

Boss chic on Kim K.

BALOGUN MARKET LAGOS ISLAND: CHEAP ACCESSORIES SHOPPING + GREEN

Yes am back!!! and where do I have in mind???I just have to tell everyone about the splendid Balogun Market in Lagos Island ....If you are an "Ajebo" who likes to shop in Boutiques...well this is not for you....lol.

Balogun Market is arguably the largest market in Nigeria and Indeed West Africa. It's a sprawling market spread across so many streets on Lagos Island. Balogun Market is the best place to get great bargains on differenr fabrics: laces, ankara, Office wears  Jewelry and Shoes. This market is best explored with someone who knows the way around and understands how to bargain..

They have almost everything even Human....*mouth closed* loool...

Had a meeting around there and decided to look around to see what I could find... they have all kinds of jewelry from brand names like Asos to Claire to everything... I really don't know how they get it at the rate they do...Simply Impressive...I mean the earings are from 300-1000 Naira that cheap, the neck accessories are from N1500-N4000....So Instead of the accessories shops in Shoprite where you spend tons on costume jewelry, you can always look around the jewelry section of Balogun Market...You never can tell what you might find and the great bargains you can make...
